Paula Duch
Postdoctoral researcher

Paula obtained her BSc in Biochemistry at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and her MSc in Integrative Physiology at the University of Barcelona. Then she did her PhD in Biomedicine at the University of Barcelona, where she studied the role of paracrine interactions within the tumour microenvironment of lung cancer. Pursuing her interest in the tumour microenvironment, she moved to Glasgow to do a postdoc in Prof. Sara Zanivan’s lab in the CRUK Scotland Institute to dissect how the epigenetic reprogramming of cancer-associated fibroblasts controls their immunoregulatory function in breast cancer. She returned to Spain to join Maria Caffarel’s lab as a postdoctoral researcher. She likes hiking and reading and is now trying to learn Euskera!
